Hola Amigitos! SO 2 Saturdays ago the branch invited my companion and I to Cerritos. Cerritos is a pueblito like an hour and half from my area. The stake presidency is thinking about opening it to be an area where missionaries are able to work!!!! In Cerritos i think theres only a couple of members but theres isnt a chapel there! So they have their services in their houses! So we went! All the missionaries in the stake went as well, and each missionary had their own group of people including young men and others from the Elders Quorum. Each person chose which missionary they wanted so... an ex missionary chose me and 5 other youn men chose to be with me! It was wierd because i had no idea who they were and why they chose me, we became friends really quickly! They sent each group to an area and we started to proselyte! We proselyted for about 3 hours straight! My group and I found like 17 new references!!!! We contacted everything that moved and invited everyone that we contacted to a special conference we were having in the afternoon at 5! Not a lot of people went but it was such a great experience to be a part of! My group and I planted tons of seeds in Cerritos and thats what we felt was important at that time!! Anyways moving on to this week... to be really honest it was probably the worst week of my mission. We didnt find any news, we didnt teach any lessons, we contacted like crazies but no one wanted to hear our message. If we did make a contact and we tried to go visit them they wouldnt be home or they didnt have time recieve us... it really was a disappointing week for me, i was praying every night to Heavenly Father so that he could help my companion and I to have some success this week. By the end of the week I was losing hope but still working my hardest to find new people to teach! At the end of the week, Hermano Jorge, gave us like 10 references!!!! SO hopefully this week we can be able to contact and teach all these references that we were given! I know that Heavenly Father heard my prayers those nights and just wanted me to have that faith that he was REALLY there! Im still missing everyone back home but I know these 2 years are going to be full of blessings for my family and all of you! I love each and everyone of you! Make this a great week everyone!!! Hello Brothers and Sister whom I love, a lot of things have happened since the last time I emailed😬 sorry for not keeping you all in the loop! But here we go! First of all, I BAPTIZED AGAIN!!! Her name was Maria Esther, she was so wonderful! I found her in my very first transfer in Mexico with my trainer and we began to start teaching her the lessons! But her difficulty was that her ankle wouldn't let her walk or work so we decided to keep on teaching her and keep on giving her commitments to keep! So here came my 2nd transfer in the same area! As soon as I received my new companion we went to her house since I haven't seen her in a few weeks! She asked me if i could give her a blessing for health and strength. Elder Hugo Rodriguez 11-28-18 November 28, 2018 10-31-18 Hello Sister Blackburn, I arrived at the Provo MTC all well. Tell my mother that i love her with all my heart and I'm safe as can be. Also tell her that ill give her a call as soon as i can. I love you also. Things here are so different than just being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ out in the world. 7-8-19 through 9-30-19

7-8-19 Hola mis amigos! This week was just a normal week, nothing really happened. This area is pretty hard, i feel like i dont have the confidence of all the members here, its the first time ive really felt like that here in the mission. Honestly I dont like the feeling at all, but what do I do when there hasnt been missionaries here working like they are supposed to for the past 6 months before i got here. The new mission president told me that im here for a reason and that i need to try my hardest to get that confidence back from the members. I am trying my hardest but i feel like im not going anywhere with it, and we all know that missionary work is ridiculously hard without the members help. Theres also another problem... the sisters in my district arent getting along well and yesterday they told me that they dont want to work together... and that they want to have special transfers.
