Hola Amigos! This week has been so amazing! The family we are teaching are progressing very well. The only thing we are wondering is if they are married or not. We haven't asked them... we should've asked them in the very beginning because now its going to slow the process down. I'm going to put them on date today! So I'm really excited for that, its really amazing to see the change in people as they hear our lessons. Blanca, the mother of the children, has been reading The Book of Mormon and says that she knows that the words in the Book are true!! Its so awesome. Her man I guess, is also reading with her but he works a lot and like rarely is home during the day but he believes that everything is true. Anyways, I went to the Mexican Consulate this past Thursday and they scanned my fingerprints and they also took a photo of me.... and they told me good luck on your mission 😂 That was the last step for processing my visa YOO HOO! So i should be leaving to Mexico in the beginning of January! I know that I said that I wanted to leave this place but now I want to stay... i didn't expect to fall in love with the people here like i did, after being here and teaching our investigators and noticing that they have a change of heart after talking to us makes me so happy. I don't want to leave the people that I'm serving here. But my original calling was to the Mexico Aguascalientes Mission so... the lord needs me over there to serve the people in Mexico. But I'm going to enjoy the last few weeks here. Being away from home has not been easy at all. There has been many times that i just sit on my bed and just think about everything that i left back home... I miss it. But i know that everything that I'm going through right now is going to be worth it at the very end. Im still getting used to the work. But I'm loving it. I feel like I'm where i need to be. Anyways i hope you all had a great week! I love you all so much! Feel free to email me whenever you guys want to! You guys arent going to annoy me i promise! Again, i love you all. Hello Brothers and Sister whom I love, a lot of things have happened since the last time I emailed😬 sorry for not keeping you all in the loop! But here we go! First of all, I BAPTIZED AGAIN!!! Her name was Maria Esther, she was so wonderful! I found her in my very first transfer in Mexico with my trainer and we began to start teaching her the lessons! But her difficulty was that her ankle wouldn't let her walk or work so we decided to keep on teaching her and keep on giving her commitments to keep! So here came my 2nd transfer in the same area! As soon as I received my new companion we went to her house since I haven't seen her in a few weeks! She asked me if i could give her a blessing for health and strength. The very next day her ankle wasn't hurting her as much and the swelling had gone down dramatically! She knew it was because the blessing I gave her! Elder Hugo Rodriguez 11-28-18 November 28, 2018 10-31-18 Hello Sister Blackburn, I arrived at the Provo MTC all well. Tell my mother that i love her with all my heart and I'm safe as can be. Also tell her that ill give her a call as soon as i can. I love you also. Things here are so different than just being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ out in the world. 7-8-19 through 9-30-19

7-8-19 Hola mis amigos! This week was just a normal week, nothing really happened. This area is pretty hard, i feel like i dont have the confidence of all the members here, its the first time ive really felt like that here in the mission. Honestly I dont like the feeling at all, but what do I do when there hasnt been missionaries here working like they are supposed to for the past 6 months before i got here. The new mission president told me that im here for a reason and that i need to try my hardest to get that confidence back from the members. I am trying my hardest but i feel like im not going anywhere with it, and we all know that missionary work is ridiculously hard without the members help. Theres also another problem... the sisters in my district arent getting along well and yesterday they told me that they dont want to work together... and that they want to have special transfers.
